Evidence-led strength & conditioning that makes an athlete better at their sport. Programmed, tested, and coached to a professional standard.
Twenty years under the bar, a decade coaching it. Daniele started training at 15 under the late Brian Hamill, one of British weightlifting's most respected figures, and never left the platform. That grounding shaped everything: how he coaches, how he programmes, and the standard he holds athletes to.
Today he holds advanced personal training, weightlifting and powerlifting qualifications, coached university lifting clubs, and competes and trains in the strength sports himself. The result is a coach who has actually done it, not just read about it.
The approach is rigorous and honest: real testing, autoregulated programming, and tracking that tells the truth. No generic templates. Every plan is built from the athlete's own numbers and the best available science, then adjusted session by session.
Started weightlifting at 15 under Brian Hamill (1937 to 2020), and trained under his leadership for around five years. Hamill was a strength & conditioning coach at Woking Weightlifting Club for over 40 years, a BWL Board member, and one of the sport's most influential figures. BWL now runs an award in his name.
Earned advanced personal training qualifications with YMCA, then weightlifting coaching with British Weight Lifting, and later powerlifting instruction with British Powerlifting, qualifying to Level 2.
Coached the university's existing weightlifting club, then founded the powerlifting club from scratch: setting it up, running sessions, coaching technique and keeping records for every lifter.
Alongside coaching, a director-level career in operations and strategy. It is why DQ Fitness runs like a proper system: real data, honest tracking, and programmes built with the discipline of a serious operation, not a hobby.
The foundation: anatomy, physiology, programme design and coaching people safely toward a goal.
Olympic lifting: the snatch and clean & jerk, coached and officiated to national-body standard.
Squat, bench and deadlift: contest technique, attempt selection and peaking for a total.
Strength & conditioning built to make an athlete better at their sport: force, power, conditioning, weight management and recovery. Currently behind a professional fighter's campaign.
Squat, bench and deadlift programming with RPE-based autoregulation, built to peak strength for competition without burning out. Coached by a British Powerlifting Level 2 instructor.
Olympic lifting technique and strength development, snatch, clean & jerk, all coached by a qualified BWL Level 2 coach and technical official.
